Professional artists, certified teachers and artisans: Share your talents and love of the arts through our Outreach Program.
For our Arts in Education program, we hire experienced professional artists and skilled craftsmen on a part-time, contractual basis to incorporate art platforms into established educational programs, from early childhood through high school.
Other outreach opportunities for artists and artisans include after-school programs, daycare centers, libraries, community and senior centers, group homes and private events (such as the very popular painting nights).
We hire Jr Professionals, college and high school students with at least three years experience in a particular art or craft, who have worked with younger kids.
We hire for camps and an occasional opportunity in schools. We hold a high standard. Applicants will go through a 10-point check list to qualify.
We also offer internships opportunities. Gain experience by working directly with the artists and staff of Arts in CT in creating and implementing site-specific community arts programming.
We always welcome volunteers who are passionate about the arts. It is immensely satisfying (and fun!) being a part of our arts initiatives in whatever capacity you choose, such as school performances, community projects, special events. Help us positively affect the lives of children and adults throughout the state.

Artists applying to the program can email a resume, cover letter, letters of recommendation and samples of work to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: “Teaching Artist Opportunities.”
