Outreach

Mission:

Arts in CT understands the vision of skills and knowledge that are expected from today’s students and provides them with the unique opportunity of an alternative pathway to success through the arts. Our lesson plans are developed to be a distinctive form of support to help ensure all students are able to learn the new standards-regardless of their learning style.

 Arts S.T.O.P Outreach Programs provides:

  • Teaching Common Core Standards through the arts
  • Empowering our community by hiring local artists to give back
  • Partner with schools, senior centers and community organizations
  • Do Annual Give Backs in our communities
  • Professional artists perform for school assemblies
  • Bringing the arts to our local church and civic organizations

Testimonials:

Leadership, Education, and Athletics in Partnership (LEAP) has had the pleasure to contract with AIC for over a year now. Our children love the many activities that they are able to participate in throughout the week. Some of the children’s favorites are Pop Art, Theater, Puppetry, Yoga, and African Drumming. Once given the age group, PAACT makes sure that each curriculum provided by their artist is catered to the appropriate age group. When there is an issue AIC  works hard to immediately correct their actions and makes sure that it doesn’t become a concern again in the future. We at LEAP would recommend AIC to other programs and guarantee that their children will enjoy it.

-Sheraine (LEAP Resource Program Coordinator)

This is our second session with the Arts in CT. They have brought new and exciting non-athletic programs to the Woodbridge Recreation Department that we could not accomplish with our own staff. We look forward to continuing to work with them in the future…..

This past season, hip hop instructors from Barbara’s studio came in to help with choreography as guest artists.  The results of this rich dance coupled with the singing were fantastic!  We can’t say enough good things.
