Annamaria Perge grew up in Connecticut. As a child she has always painted and drawn as a hobby and took her education very seriously towards the arts once she had gone to college. She graduated with her BA in Fine Art from Central Connecticut State University in 2016 At CCSU she painted two murals and was the Art director for the campus literary magazine. One mural is located in Copernicus Hall at CCSU. The other mural is located at the Trinity on Main in downtown New Britain. Immediately after graduating from CCSU she pursued her degree even further and graduated with her Masters of Fine Arts degree in Illustration at the University of Hartford in 2018. Complimenting her studies, she has participated in many volunteer and job experiences that have aided in building her artistic skills. Such experiences in the past several years have included working with the nonprofit organization the Greater New Britain Arts Alliance, where she did many graphic design tasks and managed their social media pages. Also, she has been published in the Pacific Review Journal, the Helix Magazine, and illustrated a children's book titled The Pink Ribbon by Dawn Marzella. At the University of Hartford she had received education and worked closely with Willie Real, Robert Hunt, Gary Kelley, Chris Georgenes, Alice Carter, Chris Payne, Bill Thompson, Lauren Mills and Jeff Sangalli to name a few. All of these occupations and experiences have exposed her to skills that explored many different mediums and pushed her to work in different styles and techniques.
While obtaining her masters degree she had worked and currently still works at Muse Paintbar in West Hartford, CT where she teaches anyone who comes to her sessions how paint the painting they had signed up for. She has experience with teaching all ages.
